I came across the Arducam-Muxes before, they however don't work for our application since it is using 6 camera sensors. Our approach for switching is similar though (3x 2:1 MIPI-switches (TMUX646) and I2C-mux (PCA9548A), the MIPI-switches themselfs are controlled with another I2C-I/O (TCA9535)).
In the mid term we want to update to v4l2 of course. This is however not a trivial task and we also have to test if it will solve the failures at all. In the meantime is there a possibility to reset the mmal-rawcam or i2c or is there a log for all called i2c-commands for debugging?
