That is exactly the display, with X11 it is working fine with switching off & on, even under 64bit. If I switch to Wayland, the off command (wlr-randr) is working once, but then the resolution information in the OS is not anymore 320x1460, it has gone to something else (see posts before). Then the on command (wlr-randr) triggers something, but because of the wrong resolution now, it can't display content ....Anyhow, if you speak of this https://www.waveshare.com/11.9inch-hdmi-lcd.htm - I need to tell you that this product is using a simple bridge chip and does not offer DDC capability.
Because of the hint here, I have tried also with the other method, but for sure it can be a method which is not fitting to the display.
