I can't help with chipset replacement, but I am wondering what caused it to die when left on overnight.
A Pi Zero W should be safe to leave on for extended periods of time unless it is in a sealed box in really hot conditions.
I've a few Zero Ws. Uptime for one of them isIt would have been up longer, but I needed to reboot it for a software upgrade.
