Screen shot also shows a /dev/sda with only one partition. If that has the same 2d889912 UUID as the NVMe that could cause random boot fails.In the screenshot, the initramfs dropped to a busybox shell because it could not find your root filesystem, PARTUUID=2d889912-02. I assume that is supposed to be the second partition of your NVMe drive. Check lsblk and sudo blkid on the working system to confirm.
If the first partition of the NVMe drive is your /boot/firmware, then this might suggest that on that boot the firmware detected the drive, but Linux for some reason did not.
I'd like to see the output of blkid when the system does boot.
