Approaching things from "the other side" if you have "admin access" to your WiFi router and can assign different SSID's to the 2.4GHz a 5GHz bands that may be useful - I rarely run headless so I don't recall what happens or can be displayed in that situation but the different SSID's do show up with a desktop setup. Also, whilst many IP provided routers may default to "auto-channel" select if that can be disabled a channel, not currently in use by another neighbour's router may be selectable (with the help of a mobile 'phone/tablet app. such as WiFi Analyzer**.
