Do you *need* to use the official PSU for the Pi 5? It will also work with the official Pi 4 supply and your switch should work fine with that.
Someone might even make a switch that works with this new 27w PSU, but I really have not clue if it exists or not.

I bought a new Raspberry Pi 5;
I bought an official Raspberry Pi 5 power supply to use with said Raspberry Pi 5. ( I didn't buy the power supply to serve as a paperweight.);
My Pi 5 power supply doesn't work with a USB power switch that works with other USB C power supplies I own and use with other, existing, Raspberry Pis I've owned over the past three or four years.
The question:
Does anyone know why this configuration doesn't work? Is the Pi 5 Official power supply defective? If not, (and if that's the Foundation's design intentions) why doesn't this work?
That, my friend, is all I'm seeking to know.
