I see Nexus 7 2nd gen 1200x1920 lcd runs with pi compute module with some overlays. That JDI lcd is command mode lcd, how did they
implement the commands in the driver?

JDI LT070ME05000 is NOT a command mode panel.
Command mode and Video mode have very specific meanings in DSI terminology - an internet search may turn up a copy of the DSI spec.

Command mode panels generally have a full frame buffer and are loaded via sending the relevant commands to the panel.
Video mode panels expect the host to provide a real-time video stream, using the sync packet and video packet types.
